Empreva Lingerie was founded by Aithne, inspired by a deeply personal experience.

After witnessing her mother’s battle with breast cancer and the life-changing impact of a mastectomy, she saw firsthand how something as simple as lingerie could hold so much meaning. Once a source of joy and confidence, beautiful lingerie was no longer an option for her mother - there were no bras that fit her needs while still making her feel feminine and empowered. This struggle continued for the rest of her life, highlighting a gap in the industry that no one seemed to be addressing.

Determined to make a difference, Aithne spent over a decade researching, speaking with women who had experienced breast cancer, and truly understanding their needs. She discovered that more and more women were choosing breast reconstruction, yet the lingerie industry had not evolved to support them. The lack of options left women feeling overlooked at a time when they deserved to feel celebrated.

With years of experience as a bra fitter, Aithne understands that the right fit is everything.
